I was sitting in my local Internet Cafe yesterday, I like to get away from my ‘home office’ from time to time and it’s a great place to go for a cup of Espresso and to meet interesting people. The rather attractive lady sitting next to me was typing away furiously and, when she had finished, I asked her what she was writing - I’m interested in learning how other people use the Internet… some people call that being nosey!
It turns out she was a ‘Blogger’ and she was updating her web site through a web browser. She was really interested in vegetarian cookery and she was adding a new restaurant review to her blog.
If you spend any time at all online these days you simply can’t avoid reading something about blogs, they are becoming increasingly more popular; and they are a great way of building an online presence without the need for any technical knowledge. A blog is an abbreviation of the term ‘web log’ which is a relatively simple content management system.
Quite a few years ago, web surfers began collecting information and interesting links that they encountered during their online travels. As time passed they started to create logs of the information that they collected and they soon started to develop their own web logs. These web logs enabled them to update the information and links as often as they wished.
Blogs are more permanent than posts to an online forum or to a discussion list, they are much more dynamic than the traditional style home pages. They are also more personal than standard journaling, and definitely more public than diaries. A blog is often a mixture of what is happening in a person’s life and what is happening on the Web, a kind of hybrid diary site. So, there are as many unique types of blogs as there are people.
There are a few common characteristics of a blog, but there may be slight variations within the classification. Some blogs provide succinct descriptions of links within the chosen theme of the blog. Some others contain commentary and links to the news of the day. A few are endless stream of blurts about the writer’s day. Others are - political blogs, intellectual blogs, some are hilarious and some topic driven. They are all - Weblogs.
As mentioned earlier, blogs are posts that are short, informal and sometimes deeply personal no matter what the topic of discussion is. They can be characterized by their conversational tone.
If a person has a web presence but is disappointed with static homepage - if an elegant treatment of posts on a global platform is what they want, then ‘blogging’ provides an ideal platform. They may also consider blogging if they are seeking feedback from their chosen audience.
Weblogs are definitely the mavericks of the online world. Two of their greatest strengths are their ability to filter and disseminate information to a widely dispersed audience, and their position outside the mainstream of mass media.
There are many different options available to the new and seasoned blogger alike. Some blog scripts are available for you to install on your own domain and these require at least a basic understanding of FTP and HTML. There are many hosted blog services available some free and some paid. If you are serious about blogging then I would strongly recommend that you use the best system that you can afford and that meets your needs.
I personally have used the ‘Moveable Type’ stand-alone script and although quite complex to install, I found it very easy to use. My recommended choice of hosted blogging service would have to be the Blog4Cash.com system that includes a wide variety of high quality features and has a built in two tier affiliate scheme that enables you to generate a recurring income from all your referrals!

My family don’t know how to start to tell you how happy we after several days of viewing Verizon FiOS HDTV since the installation. But let me just share with you a very short review with FiOS service.
I wasn’t present during the installation - I had a meeting that day, but my daughter who is present informed me that the technical staff who made the installation was friendly and fairly experts on their field. I did conversed with the guy on the phone during the time he must know my password to set-up the internet . When I arrived in our home after the meeting, the person had finished the installation and left easily, but given my daughter enough information that I found it uncomplicated to go around the TV channels using the remote which was commented as “hard to navigate”, it’s not true:
Let me go through why Verizon FiOS bundle is a great deal for less:
1. Navigation - quite easy to navigate, very straightforward, and within the week I will set up a “favorites” line up which I haven’t started yet.
2. Picture quality - I was subscribe to Comcast before this…and they take no notice of me when I advised them that the reception was not so good even after I put in an attenuator. After FiOS was installed, every image on every TV in my house regardless if it’s old or new, standard or HD…is better compared to Comcast. Honestly the digital stations look like they are high definition as well.
3. Program Line up - wow that’s the word, every day we discover something good to watch. I am retired Navy…. yesterday I watched F18 Operations aboard Navy Carriers! I watched Military news and caught the Military History Channel and the Pentagon Channel! I was surprised that these channels were in the line up and guess what I’ve informed all my retired Navy colleagues .
Aside from that my FiOS internet is so fast, it’s the fastest connection I’ve ever had or installed for the matter in my house. And my phone, finally functions like it was designed to work .
It was really a good to decision ordering the FiOS 3-in-1. But noone will know everything about the company they are transacting with when there are problems. When all is well …. all can be the best….In the following weeks and months to come, then we’ll see what kind of Customer Service Verizon have. So far I have no worries, just pleased with the result.
The world is shrinking thanks to the internet and aeroplanes - and so this is mirrored in the huge amount of weblogs written by individual travellers all over the globe writing from wherever they are at the time.
From reports regarding Vietnamese diets to Pattaya floating market, there doesn’t seem to be a issue that isn’t published by these intrepid travellers.
Such blogs- often called “travelblogs” - are popular with fellow travelers and individuals who have been to the country they are writing from. Not only that, but such blogs offer an inside view of the country for those thinking of journeying in the near future, so they serve a purpose as giving them a snapshot of what to expect if they do decide to journey there.
These days it’s normal to chance upon such travelblogs, and so it’s often not enough to merely provide your views on the nation you’re presently in. Now there’s a need for blogs that pinpoint niches within the nation they live in. For example, a blog regarding park photos from Thailand, or maybe a travelblog that details the skiing in South Korea.
Most pen these travelblogs for fun, and a bit of attention, however there are others who earn cash from writing online. Be it money through adverts on their website, or for freelancing for other sites and receiving money for such work as they are travelling. If you’re living in a country that has a low cost of living, this can actually pay your way - though you should have a backup reserve of cash and not have your website be your only means to supporting yourself.
Overall, it’s a good idea to write a blog about what you’re doing when travelling - for reminiscing on and recollecting what you did, while also giving other people a unique glimpse regarding corners of the world less known.
ATT Uverse is the best value in the country with regards to web and television service and is accredited as one of the top quality service suppliers in the country. A large number of households have already switched over to ATT Uverse to receive better quality cable tv and web access at a low cost, and .
One of the ways that Uverse saves you money is that you are able to order the services that you want bundled in one at a lower price. So instead of paying two separate providers for tv and internet you can get them both from ATT for less. If you have a home telephone you can sweeten the deal by packaging up all three options. Clustering your service will save you money each bill and it will also make it a lot better for you to keep account of your statements because there’ll only be one.
Also AT&T Uverse Reviews claim that if you have ATT wireless mobile phone as your company you can even combine your cellphone account and your attuverse bill each month so that you can pay all with the same check. Convenience and a low cost make the ATT Uverse service the best value.
ATTUverse services also save you dollars because you can pick out only the Television channels and the amount of Internet access that you need. If you don’t wish to commit to every single TV channel acquirable and only desire a a couple of specific channels instead, you can sign up for a small cost plan that includes particular stations instead of taking all of the channels that ATT provides. If you don’t demand a lot of Internet pipeline you can contract for a smaller cost level of service to save dollars and still get all the Internet bandwidth that you need.
